Iraq and Syria reopen airspace after Israel-Iran flare-up

Damascus [Syria], June 9: Iraq and Syria have reopened their airspace, after closing it amid renewed attacks traded by Israel and Iran. The current situation is being closely monitored, Iraq's Civil Aviation Authority said on Monday, according to the state news agency INA. The "highest level of security" is in place in Iraqi airspace, the authority said. Iraq had previously announced a 72-hour closure in response to the recent attacks, which would have expired on Wednesday evening.
