Doha [Qatar], October 13: Hospitality Qatar 2026 opened at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) on Monday, bringing together 120 exhibitors from Qatar and abroad to showcase the latest products, technologies and solutions for the hospitality industry and explore new business opportunities in the country's growing tourism market.
Organised by IFP Qatar, the three-day exhibition, running from October 12 to 14, marks the event's 11th edition and celebrates a decade of supporting the development of Qatar's hospitality sector. The opening brought together senior officials, ambassadors, business leaders and industry experts to discuss opportunities for investment, innovation and collaboration across the sector.
The exhibition features 90 local exhibitors and 30 international participants from Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India and Jordan. Participating companies represent a broad range of industries, including hotels and resorts, interior design and furniture, food and beverages, restaurant and catering equipment, hospitality technology and environmentally friendly solutions.
Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber, Chief of Operations Affairs at Qatar Tourism, said the organisation's support for the exhibition reflected its commitment to developing the hospitality sector, improving service quality and strengthening Qatar's position as a leading destination for tourism and business events.
He said Qatar's advanced infrastructure and the continued growth of its hospitality industry created opportunities to enhance the visitor experience through strategic partnerships and initiatives promoting service excellence.
Al Jaber added that the exhibition provided an important platform for sharing expertise, showcasing innovations and improving the competitiveness of Qatar's tourism and hospitality sector.
Hayat Bayaan, Director of Commercial Affairs and Operations at IFP Qatar, described the 11th edition as an important milestone, noting that the exhibition had brought together thousands of industry leaders, experts and innovators over the past decade.
She said the event continued to facilitate partnerships among investors, suppliers, hotels and other industry stakeholders, while helping businesses showcase new solutions, explore emerging trends and expand their market reach.
The exhibition also provides opportunities for companies to establish commercial relationships, exchange knowledge and identify potential investment opportunities as Qatar's hospitality industry continues to evolve.
A comprehensive programme of specialised events, live demonstrations, conferences and interactive workshops led by international experts forms a key part of this year's edition. The sessions focus on emerging trends and innovations shaping the future of hospitality services.
The Salon Culinaire is another major attraction, bringing together professional chefs and emerging culinary talents for competitions and live cooking demonstrations. Ambassadors of Taste for the Global Gastronomy, the event's Gastronomy Partner, supports the culinary programme, promoting culinary excellence, cultural exchange and food tourism.
As part of the programme, the Ambassadors of Excellence Gala, held in partnership with Qatar Tourism, will recognise leading institutions and brands for their contributions to excellence and development across the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Qatar Development Bank (QDB), the Development Partner, is supporting opportunities for Qatari small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to connect with industry stakeholders, develop commercial relationships and explore investment partnerships. Its participation also aims to strengthen the competitiveness of national products and businesses operating in hospitality, food and related services.
Baladna Food Industries, the National Production Sponsor, is helping connect local food and equipment suppliers with hotels, restaurants and investors, supporting potential supply agreements and promoting locally produced goods. Al Meera Consumer Goods, the Gold Sponsor, is providing a platform to engage with hospitality operators and procurement professionals while showcasing products, services and business solutions.
The exhibition's other key partners and sponsors include Qatar Tourism as Destination Partner, Al Sraiya Holding Group as Platinum Sponsor, Askar Industrial Company as Official Kitchen Sponsor and Fereej Sharq Real Estate Investment as Silver Sponsor, alongside other supporting partners.
