Kathmandu (Nepal), Jan 08 (ANI): The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy made a special appearance at Nepal’s iconic Bouddhanath Stupa in Kathmandu as part of its ongoing global trophy tour, drawing large crowds and adding to the excitement ahead of the upcoming tournament. The silverware was placed on display within the stupa premises, where hundreds of visitors and cricket fans gathered to catch a glimpse and capture photographs. The trophy tour forms part of the build-up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to begin next month. Launched last year from Adam’s Bridge culturally revered in India as Ram Setu, the tour began with a dramatic visual as the trophy was carried skyward on a two-seater paramotor along India’s southern coastline. The symbolic start highlighted the bridge’s historic and cultural significance as a link between India and Sri Lanka. As part of a unique outreach initiative, the trophy will also be showcased at schools and colleges connected to players participating in the tournament, inspiring young fans.
