Dec 12, 2024

Vienna [Austria], December 12: Vienna International Airport has announced surpassing 30 million passengers for the first time since 2019, signalling a strong recovery in travel activity.
Julian Jager, Member of Vienna Airport's Executive Board, highlighted the resurgence of air travel following a dramatic decline to 7.8 million passengers in 2020 and 10.4 million in 2021. Passenger numbers began to recover in 2022, reaching 29.5 million last years.
Austrian aviation experts predict a new record-breaking year, exceeding the 31.7 million passengers recorded in 2019, driven by renewed enthusiasm for travel and a significant surge in passenger numbers at Vienna International Airport.
