Trump blasts Ukraine for showing 'zero gratitude'

Nov 24, 2025

Washington [US], November 24: US President Donald Trump has again accused Ukraine of showing a lack of gratitude for his efforts to end the war and said Europe bears some responsibility for the continuation of Russia's invasion.
"UKRAINE 'LEADERSHIP' HAS EXPRESSED ZERO GRATITUDE FOR OUR EFFORTS, AND EUROPE CONTINUES TO BUY OIL FROM RUSSIA," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, as US, Ukrainian and European delegations met in Switzerland to discuss the president's peace plan.
Trump, who said he could end the conflict swiftly when he returned to the White House in January, has repeatedly claimed that Kiev does not adequately acknowledge US support.
In February, Trump publicly chastised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during an explosive meeting at the White House, with Vice President JD Vance joining him in rebuking the Ukrainian leader on live television.
Trump has given Zelensky until Thursday to agree in principle to the proposal, which would require Ukraine to make a number of concessions that it has long rejected.
