Shooting in Czech town leaves two dead, suspect detained

Prague [Czech Republic], June 16: Czech police on Sunday detained a suspect following a shooting that left two people dead in a town east of Prague.
The incident occurred in the evening in Kostelec nad Cernymi lesy, where police responded to reports of a shooting at a residential property.
"Upon the immediate arrival of patrol units to the scene, officers detained a suspect and seized a gun, which he was supposed to have used," police said on the social media platform X.
Two people were found dead in the garden of the house, police added. However, the cause of the incident is not immediately known.
