Mar 23, 2026

Riyadh [Saudi Arabia], March 23: Saudi Arabia has declared the military attache of the Iranian embassy and four staff persona non grata and expelled them from the country, according to a statement released on Saturday.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency that the Iranian representatives had been given 24 hours to leave the kingdom.
Iran was targeting Saudi Arabia's "sovereignty, civilian sites, civilians, economic interests, and diplomatic missions within the Kingdom," the statement said, calling it a violation of UN resolutions, international law and "the principles of good neighbourliness." (DPA)
