Dec 27, 2022

Moscow [Russia], December 27: The Guardian newspaper on December 26 quoted an intelligence report from the British Ministry of Defense as saying that Russian troops are mainly focusing on building outposts along many front-line areas in Ukraine.
Accordingly, the Russian side placed more anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. The British Ministry of Defense also said that Russian forces face a major challenge due to a lack of reconnaissance equipment and experienced soldiers to effectively observe minefield areas.
In a report on December 26, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army said that the Russian side carried out five missile strikes, one air strike and more than 40 rocket attacks against Ukraine within 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side repelled Russian attacks near 16 areas in Donetsk and Luhansk. Russia has not commented on the above information.
In an article in the RossiiskayaGazeta newspaper, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev vowed to continue the operation in Ukraine until the removal of the Kyiv government and complete demilitarization of the country. Mr. Medvedev, who served as president of Russia from 2008 to 2012, criticized the West's efforts to divide Russia for Ukraine's sake. According to him, nuclear weapons and Russia's nuclear deterrence policy are the factors that prevent the West from going to war with Russia. Experts estimate that Russia has nearly 6,000 nuclear warheads, the most in the world. Medvedev warned that if Russia's security guarantees are not met, "the world will gradually approach the brink of World War 3 and nuclear disaster", adding that Russia will do everything to prevent.
