QC initiative focuses on sustainable growth

Doha [Qatar], May 26: Qatar Chamber, in cooperation with the Regional Consulting Networka member of the Regional Network for Social Responsibilityheld a virtual training program entitled "Consultant in Sustainability Applications in the Business Sector."
The four-day programme was delivered by Dr. Ali Al Ibrahim, an expert in sustainable development, with the participation of trainees from the State of Qatar and several Arab countries.
The session addressed the key dimensions of sustainable development, most notably the economic dimension, which focuses on combating poverty and addressing unemployment to achieve prosperity through the efficient and effective use and development of resources.It also covered the social dimension, which includes promoting the effective participation of women, improving education, strengthening good governance, and achieving justice, democracy, and human rights.
In addition, it addressed the environmental dimension, which aims to prevent environmental degradation and unsustainable development practices, as well as preserve natural resources and ecosystems.
