Washington [US], June 18: President Joe Biden's re-election campaign is leaning towards the possibility of taking advantage of Donald Trump's conviction in New York criminal court to his advantage in the race for the White House.
According to The Hill , the new strategy was activated with advertising content deployed on June 17, mentioning that the jury in the New York trial found former President Trump guilty of all 34 crimes of falsifying records. business to cover up hush money used to silence porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
The new move of President Biden 's re-election campaign comes after the Democratic candidate for the first time called his Republican opponent a convicted criminal during rallies.
President Biden's new strategy is said to carry risks. Republican lawmakers are speaking out in support of Mr. Trump, calling him a victim of a politicized justice system.
However, Democratic strategists expressed comfort with the new approach and believe it will be effective in the context of the 2024 US election expected to end with narrow results.

Former President Trump's campaign counterattacked by arguing that the New York trial was an "embarrassment", and mentioned recent survey results showing that Mr. Trump was ahead of President Biden.
