Pope Leo to visit France in late September

Paris [France], May 17: Pope Leo XIV will travel to France from September 25-28, Holy See spokesman Matteo Bruni said on Saturday.
The trip is to take place at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, church authorities and UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany.
The Vatican has not yet published a travel itinerary. Bruni confirmed only that Leo will visit the headquarters of the UN cultural organization UNESCO in the French capital.
A month ago, Leo received Macron at the Vatican. (DPA)
