Washington [US], June 17: Former US President Donald Trump announced on June 16 that if elected next November, he would end 'endless' aid spending billions of dollars on Ukraine.
"I think Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is probably the greatest salesman among politicians. Every time Mr. Zelensky comes to America, he brings in $60 billion. This process never ends. I will solve that problem," Mr. Trump emphasized.
Previously, Mr. Trump repeatedly stated that he would be able to end the conflict in Ukraine if he returned to the White House, according to Mehr News Agency.
In another development, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on June 15 that the action plan agreed at the Ukraine Peace Summit in Switzerland will be communicated to Russia to ensure an end to the conflict at the conference. the second time.
Last night (June 16), The Guardian reported that the Ukraine peace conference in Switzerland had just issued a joint statement, signed by representatives of 80 of the 90 participating countries, with content emphasizing that territorial integrity Ukraine's territory must be respected in any agreement to end hostilities. According to the Swiss government, countries including Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico and the UAE were among those attending the conference but did not sign the joint statement.
Previously, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia had "nothing to comment" on the countries attending the above conference, and expressed his wish for another more substantive and promising meeting.
