MOFA official attends Columbian Embassy's celebratyion of National Day

Abu Dhabi [UAE], August 9: Dr. Alsaghira Al Ahbabi, Director of the American Affairs Department at the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended today a reception hosted by Luis Miguel Merlano Hoyos, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to the UAE, to mark his country's National Day.
The ceremony - which was held at theEmirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi- was attended by a number of officials, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the state, and members of the Colombian community residing in the Emirates.
Addressing the event, the Colombian ambassador praised the wise policy of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, noting the steady growth in bilateral relations in all fields. He said that the UAE is Colombia's most important trade partner in the Middle East.
