Magnitude 6 quake strikes south of New Zealand's Kermadec Island

Wellington [New Zealand], December 21: An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 struck south of New Zealand's Kermadec Island region on Tuesday, Reuters reported.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said the quake was at a depth of 141 kilometres (87.61 miles), 527 km North East of Tauranga, New Zealand.
