In another statement published by KCNA today, the head of the Foreign News Department at the North Korean Foreign Ministry accused the US of "exacerbating" the situation on the Korean peninsula by conducting an unprovoked military exercise. troops with South Korea on March 6 and plan the upcoming US-ROK exercises.
The US deployed B-52 bombers for a joint exercise with South Korean fighters on March 6. South Korea's defense ministry said the drills were intended to show strength against North Korea's "missile and nuclear threats," according to Reuters.
