Kim hails North Korean troops and brass returning from Russia's Kursk

Seoul [South Korea], August 22: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has hailed the commanders and troops deployed to aid Russian efforts to recapture parts of the western region of Kursk taken by Ukrainian troops, state news agency KCNA reported on Thursday.
The state agency said that Kim met with the leading commanding officers of the North Korean army's overseas operation unit as they returned home on Wednesday.
Kim praised the brass and troops for their work in Kursk, according to KCNA.
"Our army is now doing what it ought to do and what needs to be done. It will do so in the future, too," Kim was quoted
as saying, praising the "unique qualities" of the North Korean army. (DPA)
