Jun 10, 2025

Tehran [Iran], June 10: Tehran security officials claim to have obtained sensitive documents to plan a response to Israel in case Tel Aviv attacks Iran's nuclear facilities.
AFP on June 10 quoted a statement from Iran's Supreme National Security Council saying Tehran had collected intelligence data on Israeli nuclear facilities. Iran said this information would help the country counterattack in case Israel launched an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Israel has repeatedly warned that it could attack Iran's nuclear sites, and has vowed to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Tehran has consistently denied developing nuclear weapons .
According to a statement from Iran's security council, the intelligence gathered "will allow Iran to immediately attack Israel's secret nuclear facilities in response to any Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities."
Previously, Iranian media on June 7 revealed that Tehran had collected important intelligence information from Israel, including files related to nuclear facilities, as well as Israel's defense plans.
Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib added that the seized documents included information related to Western countries, including the United States.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director Mariano Grossi said that the documents Iran claimed to have collected could be related to the Soreq nuclear research center in Israel.
Israeli officials have not yet commented on the information that Iran has documents about Israeli nuclear facilities.
In another development, US President Donald Trump said on June 9 that the US and Iran will continue negotiations on the nuclear deal on June 12. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Mr. Trump had a phone call with Mr. Netanyahu, mentioning that Washington had made a "suitable deal" for Tehran.
