Int'l film festival kicks off in Vietnamese capital

Hanoi [Vietnam], November 9: The 2022 Hanoi International Film Festival kicked off here on Tuesday evening.
The five-day event will feature 123 films from 56 countries and regions including China, France, India, the United States. They include motion pictures, short films, documentaries, animation and contemporary Vietnamese works.
Themed "Cinema - Humanity, Adaptation and Development", the festival aims to honor excellent international and Vietnamese cinematographic works with high artistic value, rich in humanity and creativity in cinematic language, Vietnam News Agency cited Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong as saying at a press conference.
The festival will see a series of events to be held, such as the Competition category, World Cinema Panorama, Country in Focus: South Korean Cinema, a marketplace for film-making projects, outdoor film screenings and discussion sessions with artists.
