Haaland thinks City squad changes caused mixed form

Apr 29, 2026

London [UK], April 29: Striker Erling Haaland expects Manchester City to be even stronger next season - and is excited to be part of it.
Pep Guardiola's side have looked off the pace at times this campaign but are once again finishing in impressive fashion and could yet win a domestic treble.
Haaland cited the changes in personnel over the last year for City's dips, with Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marc Guehi, Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo among those arriving, while Ederson, Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan departed.
"It's been a lot of change now the last couple of years, I would say in the last year," the Norwegian told ESPN.
"There's been lots of players that have been here for a long time.
So, with new players, it takes time. It's not easy to come into a new league for someone, new country, all of this. It takes time to adapt."
