Gaza genocide death toll rises to 72,740 as Israeli assault continues: Ministry

Gaza City [Gaza], May 12: The Health Ministry in Gaza has released the latest casualty figures in Israel's genocidal war on the territory.
In its latest statement, the ministry said at least three people were killed in the latest 24-hour period, while 16 others were wounded. The figures bring the total number of people killed since Israeli attacks began in October 2023 to at least 72,740, with 172,192 wounded.
The ministry said that since the "ceasefire" took effect on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed at least 854 people and wounded 2,453 injured.
