Dec 05, 2024

Paris [France], December 5: Paris: France and Saudi Arabia plan to host a summit in June focusing on the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, French media reported.
French President Emmanuel Macron shared the plan during his visit to Saudi Arabia. "We have decided to hold a conference next June for the two states," Macron was quoted as saying by French media, referring to an Israeli state and a Palestinian one.
The French president stressed the need to gather support for this plan in the coming months, according to the reports. He expressed hope that the summit would address Israel's security concerns and show that a two-state solution can work for all parties involved.
Macron reaffirmed that France is ready to recognize a Palestinian state, but he stressed that such recognition should occur "at a useful moment." (DPA)
