Five killed in riot at Venezuelan prison

Caracas [Venezuela], April 22: At least five inmates were killed in a riot at a high-security prison in Venezuela.
The Ministry of Penitentiary Services said in a statement that the inmates were killed at Yare prison, about 70 kilometres outside the capital, Caracas, when fighting between prisoners escalated into a riot.
The statement added that the Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation, without providing further details, including the number of injured.
