Sep 01, 2026

Warsaw [Poland], September 1: Polish prosecutors on Monday launched an investigation into a fire at a combat drone production plant south of Warsaw on suspicion of terrorism and of acting on behalf of a foreign intelligence service.
The fire broke out at the WB Electronics factory in Skarzysko-Kamienna, about 150 kilometres south of the Polish capital and was reported shortly after midnight.
A local police spokeswoman told the tabloid Fakt that it had been extinguished. No one was injured. The prosecutor's office posted on X that an investigation has been launched.
Earlier, a spokesman for the intelligence coordinator said that officers from Poland's Internal Security Agency (ABW) were at the scene, but that it was still too early to confirm if the incident was an act of sabotage. (DPA)
