Approval rate of Trump's government management drops: survey

Nov 13, 2025

New York [US], November 13: The approval rate of U.S. President Donald Trump's government management has dropped sharply since early in his second term, a new poll showed on Wednesday, with much of the rising discontent coming from Republicans.
The survey, conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research on Nov. 6-10, shows that only one in three Americans, or 33 percent, approve of the way the Republican president is managing the government, down from 43 percent in March.
The result was largely driven by a decline in approval among Republicans and independents, the poll suggests.
According to the survey, only about two-thirds of Republicans, or 68 percent, said they approve of Trump's government management, down from 81 percent in March. Independents' approval dropped from 38 percent to 25 percent.
The survey found an overwhelming majority of Democrats, 95 percent, continue to disapprove of Trump's management of the federal government, compared with 89 percent in March.
Trump's overall approval rate has stood at 36 percent, similar to the 37 percent of the previous month.
The results highlight the risks posed by the shutdown as the funding lapse has snarled air traffic, left hundreds of thousands of federal workers without paychecks and compromised food aid for the vulnerable people, the Associated Press said.
