Al Khor crowned Under-19 Cup champions

Doha [Qatar], April 2: Al Khor were crowned Under-19 Cup champions after a thrilling final against Al Markhiya which was decided by a 5-4 penalty shootout on Monday.
Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, the Director of Marketing and Communication at the Qatar Football Association, presented the trophies following the match which took place at the University Stadium.
The final lived up to its billing as a final tie with both sides producing a tense and highly competitive contest. The match finished 2-2 after regulation time forcing the two teams straight to the penalty spot where Al Khor held their nerve to secure the victory and the title.
Following the final whistle the official presentation ceremony took place with Al Markhiya receiving their silver medals as runners-up.
Al Khor players collected their gold medals before being presented with the championship trophy capping off a memorable evening.
