Cairo [Egypt], April 28: Al-Azhar Al-Sharif has condemned on Sunday the stabbing and killing of a Muslim worshipper in a southern France mosque, warning of escalating "white terrorism" in Europe and the US.
According to media reports, the attacker stabbed the worshipper dozens of times then filmed him with a mobile phone while shouting insults at Islam in Friday's attack in the village of La Grand-Combe in the Gard region of southern France.
Al-Azhar denounced the "terrorist incident" perpetrated by an anti-Islam assailant. It cautioned against the growing activities of "white supremacist groups" who hide behind "deceptive slogans like white nationalism to justify heinous crimes against Muslims."
