Jan 31, 2026

New York [US], January 31: At nearly 70 years old, Huynh Nhat Hoa has retired to a private life, comfortably pursuing his passion for sports. The veteran star has turned down numerous film offers, stating that he has reached his limits.
In recent years, Wong Yat-wah has rarely appeared in front of the camera. The former "Tiger General" of TVB chose to step away from the screen despite still being in good shape and health. According to HK01 , the star of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" now spends most of his time pursuing his passion for football, taking on the role of team leader, guiding a team of veteran artists from the Hong Kong entertainment industry to compete in various tournaments. Besides that, the once-famous actor occasionally appears at entertainment events to support his long-time colleagues and interact with the audience.
Over the past five years, Huỳnh Nhật Hoa has gone through a difficult time after his wife of over 30 years, actress Lương Khiết Hoa, passed away due to a serious illness. The star of the TV series "Tian Long Ba Bu" admitted that he felt he had lost his motivation to live, fell into depression, and even contemplated suicide. After a long period, he regained his spirits and adapted to life without his wife. The actor was fortunate to have his daughter and close friends (especially the couple Mieu Kiều Vỹ and Thích Mỹ Trân ) by his side to encourage him. Now, the former TVB actor has overcome his loss and lives a happier, more open life.
