Three people were injured in a knife attack in Brussels

Brussels [Belgium], January 31: In a knife attack this afternoon in Brussels at a metro station, three people were injured, one of them seriously, the Belgian police announced and added that they had arrested the attacker.
"Knife attack at the Schuman metro station. Cooperation with different police services enabled the quick arrest of the attacker," Brussels Mayor Philippe Close wrote on Twitter.
The police did not state the reasons for the attack, while sources close to the police said that it was a person with psychiatric problems.
The attack took place today around 18:00 at the Schuman metro station, which is located a few tens of meters from the headquarters of the European Commission and the European Council.
No other details have been released.
