Israel to bring hi-tech business skills to youth in remote areas

Sep 29, 2022

Jerusalem [Israel], September 29: Israel on Wednesday launched a national plan to upskill youth from outlying areas in high-tech business, the Israeli Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology said in a statement.
The plan aims to provide an equal opportunity for youth across regions and societies to access the hi-tech sector and entrepreneurship, the ministry said.
It will set up community-based start-up centers in northern and southern Israel, providing youth aged from 14 to 18 with training opportunities in entrepreneurship and creative thinking, as well as experience in starting a tech company with the help of industrial supervisors, according to the statement.
The youngsters will thus learn in an environment that simulates the real tech world and will be able to develop projects from the idea to the execution stage, among other skills, it added.
