GCC finance undersecretaries meet in Kuwait

Kuwait, May 8: The Sultanate of Oman participated today in the 73rd meeting of GCC Finance Undersecretaries, held in Kuwait in preparation for the 123rd session of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee.
The Omani delegation was headed by Abdullah Salem Al-Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance.
The meeting reviewed key agenda items including outcomes from the GCC Central Bank Governors Committee, Customs Union Authority, Heads of Tax Authorities Committee and the GCC Common Market Committee.
Discussions covered technical updates on the GCC Free Trade Agreement negotiations, studies/projects under development by the Economic and Development Affairs Authorityand the signing/ratification of the GCC Payment Linkage Agreement.
The meeting also addressed the GCC Economic Integration Program and implementation updates on resolutions from the 122nd Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee session.
